A Best Friend Hug

Kristin came this week to hang out with us:) There was a lot of laziness, Wimbledon watching, eating, a little shopping, lots of horrible singing, and a fun outing to see The Proposal (which I highly recommend.) We had a lot of fun catching up, and I was very sad when she left this morning. Why isn't Nashville closer to Nacogdoches?!

Callie LOVED Kristin! (Maddie is also a little sadder today since she is gone.)

Thinking of getting into some modeling using her fabulous rent car. It made us laugh every time we looked at it. It was pretty much a glorified golf cart...awesome.

Trying to pose like Edward. Kristin still will not read the series and refuses to fall in love with a fictional teenage vampire. I made her watch the movie. I may have cracked her a little...

I miss you already Chum:(

Callie's Dedication

Callie was dedicated at our church on Sunday:) It was a really special day filled with most of our family.

The Hay kids (We missed you Jeff!)
Pops and Gigi and Grandma and Grandpa

Callie's new trick is looking at things sideways:)

This is how she REALLY feels about Uncle Chris...haha!!!

Our little angel:)

Not Sure What to Think About Baby Food

This face pretty much sums up our experience with squash. Not only did she not like it, but she was actually gagging. At one point, I was sure she was going to throw up. After 3 sittings, I gave up.

Then we found peas, and they are wonderful! She can't get enough of them! We are going to try carrots next, so our fingers are crossed.

This is a random picture of Callie in sunglasses that Miss Katelynn picked out for her. The picture doesn't do it justice, but I think she looks like Elton John with them on...hilarious!

All Moved In

Thanks to some FABULOUS help from my dad, Lance, Chris, Patrick, and Katy, we are moved in! Overall, it was a terrible process, but we still managed to have some fun...especially Lance and I:) We can find humor in pretty much anything! It made me want to thank my parents for never making us move as kids. It didn't help that it was over 100 degrees all weekend. I promise some house pictures when I get it somewhat put together.

As you can see, Callie is very happy in the new house:)

Mad Dash to Abilene

We made a quick trip to Abilene this weekend for Lance and Kristin's first shower. We had such a fun time hanging out with family:)

Being in West Texas, you can always count on the wind. It was about as windy as I have ever seen it. My hair doesn't appreciate the wind very much!

The cute couple:)

The outsiders we have let into the family...haha:)

Callie had a lot of fun playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She is getting really good at sitting up now.

This one makes me laugh:) She has definitely discovered her tongue and enjoys sticking it out.

She is really close to figuring out how to turn on her rainforest by herself.

Taking a nap at Gigi and Pops's house.

Callie had fun with her Aunt Julie! We are very excited about Baby BOY Hay that they are having in November:)

She has on shoes and I don't to try to make things more even...haha!

Callie loves to play with Grandpa.

With Uncle Tony at the Fire Station. Callie didn't really care about it...maybe when she is older. She was worn out from the trip!

We had a terrific trip! We bought some furniture at Jordan Taylor that we are really excited to see in our new house. We are moving THIS weekend! I am packing, packing, packing which is awful, awful, awful. The only good thing is that it will be over soon...then I will have to UNpack:( It is crazy to think the next time we are in Abilene will be for the WEDDING! We can't wait!

6 Months!

Our baby girl turned 6 months old yesterday! She is developing such a fun little personality. She will rarely stay on her back becuase she prefers either being on her tummy or sitting up. She loves to grab at things...especially her feet and shoes. She also loves to grab the bottom of her dresses, her piggy, cow, and bunny, and her little colorful links. She is such a joy, and we love her so much! Just like last time, here are some outtakes. It took 2 complete outfits and a lot of silly noises and faces to get one picture!!! Enjoy:)

Always grabbing for her feet.

We had to take this outfit off for two reasons...1: She was so focused on those orange shoes that she refused to look up. 2: She spit up all over it and the chair...fun times.

Back to the feet...

This shows you why the sign is so wrinkled in some of the pictures. She loved to crunch the paper.
