Our First Try at Rice Cereal!

Callie had her first run-in with a spoon today, and it did not disappoint. She actually liked the rice a lot and stayed relatively clean. She made some priceless faces though like, "What in the world IS this?"

Hopefully we will get better about eating it and not wearing it:)

1..2..3 months too

I decided to post her 1, 2, and 3 month pictures too for those who haven't seen them! She is growing so much:)

FOUR Months

This is extremely late since her four month birthday was on the 10th, but better late than never. Callie is smiling and laughing all of the time. She is starting to roll over from her tummy to her back, but she doesn't do it consistently. I just think she gets lazy sometimes...kind of sounds like her mom:) She is wiggling all of the time and loves to stand up and look around. She is so precious:)

Doctor's Appointment

Callie Grace had her 4 month check-up today! She was all smiles and wiggles during her appointment...so cute! Here are her stats:

Weight: 13 pounds 3 ounces (50th percentile)
Length: 24 inches (45th percentile)
Head: 41 1/4 cm. (70th percentile)

These are pretty much right on target with her last appointments, so we were pleased. Baby Girl spit up all over the doctor's office, exam room, and me...fun times. I WAS glad that her nurse and doctor got to see it in person though. I didn't have to explain as much! She called her a "Happy Spitter" and told us it may just be something that we deal with for awhile. As long as she is gaining weight and happy, I can endure. We are going to try a soy formula and try thickening the bottle a little bit more, so we will see. We only had to get 2 shots, but it was awful:( Good thing Craig was there to calm her down a little. Tomorrow, Callie and I are headed to Target to get some spoons and bowls to start eating some rice cereal! Should be interesting...pictures to follow.

Easter Trip

We decided that with family was a good place to be for Easter, so we loaded up almost everything that we own, and headed out...

The Hay girls! This is our first official picture together since there are 3 of us now:)

The Hay boys with their mama

and with Grandma Mikk

Baby Girl had enough

Callie spent a lot of time with her Pops, and a lot of that time was playing and kicking on a mat.

hanging out with Uncle Lance

Easter morning in her bunny feet PJs:)
We had to wake her up for church, and she was a little pouty!

our official Easter pic

SO excited about her very first Easter basket

hanging out with Daddy

sleeping soundly with Uncle Lance and soon-to-be Aunt Kristin
(We can't believe the wedding is only 3 1/2 months away!!!)

meeting Maverick who is much bigger than our little Maddie

We were away from home for 10 days, but it was worth it to spend time with family and friends. Callie spent a lot of time with Pops while I got to go out and have lunch and do a little shopping. I got to eat at all my favorites...Rosa's (twice), Copper Creek, and AM Donuts just to name a few. I got to go to the movies with Lance and Kristin, and I made 3 trips to Dillards for baby clothes, BCBG, and shoes:)

TV update (spoiler alerts): We watched the last 2 episodes of Lost last night...more confused then ever. The smoke monster and the temple? Whidmore's role is getting bigger and bigger? Miles's dad is the creepy guy from the videos? Dan is back in the 70s? I need to start getting some answers, and I need to start getting them now. Craig still says that there is no point to it, but I am holding out hope.

I liked Idol this week. I have loved the song that Kris sang for a long time, and now I have downloaded his version too. It is very good...go check it out. I was VERY happy that they saved Matt, but I am upset they had to. Why aren't people voting for him? Disco will be rough this week. Lil and Allison need to go!!!

If you are not watching The Office, you should be. The Michael Scott Paper Company is cracking me up! My favorite scenes are with Ryan, Pam, and Michael...fantastic.

My mom and I went to Gruene last weekend for our annual family girls' trip. I will post about that later! HAPPY Monday:)

A little time with Edward Cullen never hurt anyone...

(I guess technically it has, but that is neither here nor there!) Callie asked me all day if we could watch Twilight...
How could I say no to this face?!

So when Craig went off to softball, we sat down to spend some time with our favorite vampires. It never seems to get old. (How much do you love Callie's bald spot?! Hilarious!)

Then we watched a little Idol. I was kind of sad to see Scott go, but it was his time. I think Lil should go next week, and then I will like them ALL!!! Right now my Top 3 are Adam, Matt, and Kris with Danny running a close 4th. Happy Wednesday everyone:)

"For it's ONE, TWO, THREE strikes you're out..."

It is an exciting day in the Hay Household...the opening day of baseball season!!! Callie will be sporting her "My First Twins Tee" all day today, and she is about to put on her Minnesota Twins bib too. I have given her a baseball so Pops and Uncle Lance can teach her to pitch very soon.
Callie has been sleeping in her room for awhile now, but she has been inside her Moses basket until last night. She just looks so tiny in that big crib! This is how we put her down last night...

...and this is how I found her this morning! She didn't make a peep last night, so HOW did she do this?! She is quite a mover:)

Road Trip!

The Hays have a lot of birthdays in April, so we took a little trip to celebrate the first one of the month. Happy EARLY Birthday Chris! Chris and Kylee let us borrow their beautiful Azaleas for some pictures...Callie cooperated for some of them at least (please excuse the bib...it is a necessity)

Uncle Chris is very good at putting shoes back on...

Feeding Baby Girl is a joint effort:)

After a yummy lunch, some red velvet cake, and an obligatory trip to Ann Taylor Loft, it was time to come home. I found a new XM station this morning that may be my new favorite thing in the world. Channel 54 is 90s alternative/grunge...we sang along to some Pearl Jam, Sublime, and Dave. It makes me want to tie a flannel shirt around my waist:)

Tada!

Well, I am finally starting this! I think it will be much easier than emailing pictures all of the time. I know that it looks very plain right now, but it will be spruced up shortly! Enjoy:)
